Ekseption Carboxy Neutralizer
Alkaline lotion with sodium bicarbonate effectively neutralizes AHA and PHA peels. At the contact of the acid, the lotion releases CO2 which then produces an intense skin oxygenation.
Most peelings require to be neutralized, even if most of the acid is neutralized by the skin proteins, there is always an excess of free acid. The neutralization will also avoid the peel from penetrating too deep in the epidermis. We created a carboxy neutralizer containing sodium bicarbonate that can be easily sprayed over the face to stop the action of the peeling. At the contact of the free acid the neutralization reaction release CO2 into the skin and the organism respond by an intense skin oxygenation (Bohr effect). An increase of CO2 concentration in the skin will result in hemoglobin proteins to release their load of oxygen into the skin.
The carboxy neutralizer can also be used over a KS mask. The carboxy effect will be more intense and the skin temperature will increase leading to a more intense peeling effect
