What are Ethosomes and how to they work?

Ethosomes are the latest advancements in Korean skincare transdermal delivery systems that enable ingredients to be absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin. With high concentrations of ethanol – it creates the ability to disrupt the skin’s lipid bilayer giving it the ability to penetrate the stratum corneum & the hair follicles. The word Ethosome is a combination of the word ethanol and liposomes, When the two ingredients combine they works as a carrier that excels the delivery of the active ingredients deeper into the skin cells.

Ethosomes are non-toxic, double layered lipid components - they have a high drug loading capacity, improving the overall capacity to deliver ingredients deep into the skin cells. Ethosomes can help stabilize the vesicles and protect them from degradation.
