Keeping up with Business.
We would like to open up the group to a discussion on business during these economic times we are in.
Let's face it, we have been here before, COVID shut businesses down completely and somehow most of us survived. Thankfully, we are not in a shutdown and we still have great opportunities in business. So DON’T GIVE UP!
Now is the time to get creative in our thinking and business approach and we hope that if possible, you are not facing closing your doors.
We came out of lockdown with guns blazing and business was so good that we didn’t have enough hours in our day to service everyone. Now, as the election approaches and the cost of EVERYTHING has risen, people are scaling back on things, and yes, luxury services can be optional to some. We should also remember that most of us raised our prices when we were in such demand and so in that area – there may be some playroom here. The goal is to keep our clients on our table while we get through this hump, AND WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS HUMP! REMEMBER this, the 9th most sold item during The Great Depression was beauty products! (Thankfully, we aren’t in that boat) So, women and men will continue to care for themselves and their beauty during these times and don’t forget, there is quite the beauty obsession these days.
So, let's dive into some unique ways to approach keeping a steady flow of business.
- Run a sale. Our spa has several options going. We are offering a buy one, get one half off and we do put some rules around the redemption date to 90 days which will guarantee to have someone on your tables more often. We will again offer the same discount when they run out but they must purchase the facial package in advance when checking out to get the discount. This ensures sales and repeat business.
- We are in peel season, so run a special promotional price on your peel series. Ekseption peels are FANTASTIC for a series because they are done every 1-2 weeks and can be performed in a 30-minute time frame. You can price these to include the activators for prep and then sell them the aftercare after the 1st peel service.
- Offer economic pricing. Instead of dropping pricing on services completely, call the pricing “economic pricing”. This builds trust in your business ethic, making your clients feel seen and valued. Drop pricing by $25 on facial services and $10 on other less expensive services like waxing. With “economic pricing” it also lets clients know that the price change isn’t permanent, but that you understand the economy in which we are doing business in.
- For the client that truly is having to fully scale back, remember the “Facial in a bag” kits some of us fully lived off during the shutdown. Lets recreate that idea! We have been working with ISOV and discussing creating the travel kits again, however, we still need to find out what the requirements are for the development of those so we will keep you posted on this. (this has to be a reasonable price and requirement for us to consider) In the meantime, Sade and I are working on creating a kit for you all to purchase that can be sold to your clients for a very reasonable price. This will cater to those that are perhaps scaling back to every other month facial and still keep the clients caring for their skin in between services. Stay tuned for more information on these.
- CONTINUE TO SELL RETAIL – Do not let your shelves go bare and do not stop promoting client homecare, otherwise all the work you have put into your clients' skin simply digresses – you all need to make sure you are conveying this to your clients as well. If nothing else, they MUST continue to care for their skin at home. DON’T FORGET, we do drop shipping, so anything you do not have in stock in your businesses, you can order from us, and we will handle it for you. We are dropping our handling fees to $3 on standard packaging and $4 for advanced packaging and are dropping the shipping cost for orders under $150 to a flat rate $7. These are our ECONOMIC PRICE RATES and will be for a limited time as a financial break for your businesses.
- Take the downtime to promote your businesses through all your social media platforms & create email blasts and blogs. Don’t just let this extra time stress you out – use it as a time to business plan, make interesting and informative post for blogs, email blasts and creative videos for your social media. Keep yourself and your business highly visible. This is a sure way to keep the desire for your services at the forefront. Pure Pro Aesthetics employs two different content creators that are creating ready-to-use content. These are available to use to promote your retail and treatments for FREE & these are NOT being used as often as they should, but they are available to use, so by all means, USE THEM!
